Up North (& Out There doing it)

This shouldn't make me so happy

I know it really shouldn't make me that happy, but I love stealing the mayorship.

Especially now that foursquare is getting pretty popular 'Up North.'. I don't just rule the roost like I used to.

Heck Yeah!

S got me a Kindle for Christmas.  One of the 8M (EIGHT MILLION) that Amazon shipped in 2010.  That's amazing and after taking it on my first commute into the City last week, I couldn't be happier.

Of course, like any technology gift, it's always tough to buy for me but I convinced myself that the extra $50 wasn't worth it for the 3G (that is after convincing myself all summer that 3G was the only way to go) and that the extra $50 would buy a lot of books.

But when Grammie and Gramps showed up with a $75 Kindle Gift card for me for Christmas, because they figured out it would be too complicated to just buy the gift themselves, it pushed me over the edge, I shipped the other one back and went 3G.

I was thrilled to have it and after my first train ride, I realized how much I stare at a computer screen whether it's my:

• laptop
• desktop
• iTouch
• iPad
• BlackBerry

So having a gadget that is like reading paper -- IS AWESOME!

I'm in *love.*

You've still got the wrong KDaddy

I've mentioned before that there is another guy out there who thinks he's not the KDaddy handle on gmail. But he doesn't.  And so what do I know about this guy?

 

1) He still likes to buying 'adult only' clips.

2) When he gets his teeth cleaned (his dentist has this address).

3) That he's got some lady friend who sent him this picture.

What I find the strangest about this picture? The girl in the bottom right hand corner who could pass for 11 or 12 years of age, am I right?

 

What kind of sissy scam are we running these a days?

School is cancelled Up North today. Not postponed, cancelled.

And worse yet, this picture is 2 hours after most kids would have gotten to school. Utterly ridiculous.

Life is Better On..

Saw this ad in NY yesterday. I'm finely tuned to be receptive to these ads because it's what I do.

And yet, I could figure out what and how to get this.

I had to go to their URL (http://lifeisbetteron.com) to finally figure it out.

Too bad because it looks like a pretty slick service but they just wasted too much money on this.

Poked my head in @ 38th & Park

I was walking up Park Ave after some bad subway karma left me stranded and decided to poke my head into the Church where we got married.

I hadn't been back in the building since the ceremony and didn't actually go into the sanctuary but just peeked in from right inside the front doors.

I can't explain it, but I felt a million tingles all over my spine and skin as I stepped up to the window and peered in. It's been a rough couple of months and this just felt so good.
Like a piece of music that really moves you, but 10x as intense. I stepped back away from the window and chuckled. The sanctuary was nearly empty and I considered going in and sitting for a while but decided otherwise.

Then I stepped back to the window on the other side and the same tingly feeling overwhelmed me.

It was an incredible place to be married in and the feelings clearly still are special.
