When things took an unexpected turn back in November, S and I agreed that we needed to have something to look forward to in the spring since it was no longer going to be the extension of our family. It's been a big dream of hers to take the kiddos to Disney World, so in two days..... IT'S ON! We're heading down there for 5 days and actually, I can't wait. The boys seem to be the perfect age, with a healthy
obsession with Buzz, Lightning McQueen, and many others.
Of course, to help prime the pump, we've been spending some more time on the Disney Jr website and that's had an unfortunate consequnce in my opinion. While we used to be a 3 trick pony in terms of desires to watch TV:
* Sid the Science Kid (which I really like)
* SuperWhy -- which I think is a fantastic idea
* Construction or FireFigther DVD -- basically what's the lives like of these works. Again really interesting.
What I like about all of these, I can watch them again and again and they do not grate on me and I feel like the kids are both enjoying and learning.
But now, all of the sudden, it's Secret Agent Oso, Jake and the Neverland Pirates, Mickey Mouse Club House, and the list goes on and on. Now, that's great for the pending trip, but all of the sudden the interest in watching TV seems to be much more loaded.
That said, I can't wait for this trip -- going to be an aboslute blast.
